Key Bitcoin developer Luke Dashjr has turned to the FBI to recover $3.6 million worth of stolen bitcoin

2023-01-04 14:10
According to BlockBeats, Luke Dashjr, the core developer behind the theft of 200 BTC coins due to the leak of the PGP key, has turned to the FBI and the police in the US to recover the stolen money. In addition, LukeDashjr reminded the crypto community not to download the Bitcoin Knots app, including updated versions of this app, for the time being. As previously reported by BlockBeats, on January 2, Bitcoin core developer LukeDashjr revealed on social media that his PGP key leak resulted in the theft of 200 BTCS, worth about $3.5 million. In response, CZ said the Binance security team has been monitoring and offering as much help as possible. But then CZ confirmed that since LukeDashjr is an American user, although he has submitted a case (case ID#71746804), the main site cannot provide services for American users, but he is willing to consult some lawyers before providing support.
