Modular execution layer Fuel launches Beta-3 testnet, adding P2P network and enabling synchronized operation of full nodes.
BlockBeats reported on March 21st that Fuel, Ethereum's modular execution layer, launched its third public testnet, Beta-3, which added P2P networking and introduced the ability to run full nodes synchronously on Fuel. Fuel stated that Beta-3 is not an incentivized testnet and participating in the network will not result in direct rewards.
Fuel launched Beta-2 in November last year and added bridging support, allowing developers to experiment with cross-chain DApps on Fuel. Beta-2 has processed over 900,000 settlement transactions.
As previously reported by BlockBeats, Fuel developer Fuel Labs completed a $1.5 million financing round led by CoinFund in September 2021. In September 2022, Fuel Labs announced that it had raised $80 million, with Blockchain Capital and Stratos Technologies leading the round and participation from Alameda Research, CoinFund, Bain Capital Crypto, TRGC, Maven 11 Capital, Blockwall, Spartan, Dialectic, and ZMT.
