Privacy browser Brave launches Web3 calling feature with NFT gatekeeping.
BlockBeats reported on May 24th that the privacy browser Brave announced on its social platform that its video conferencing service Brave Talk has introduced a Web3 calling feature, allowing hosts to use NFT and POAP for token access control. For example, the community can hold a phone conference for people who own specific collections of NFTs. All Brave Talk users can use any Web3 wallet on any browser for Web3 calls.
Although this feature only supports Ethereum NFT token access control, Brave plans to expand support for non-Ethereum NFTs as soon as possible. In the future, hosts can grant access based on specific token balances or send cryptocurrencies to participants.
