Media company Semafor has raised $19 million to buy back SBF's investment.
According to BlockBeats news on May 25th, media company Semafor has raised $19 million from investors including Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang and KKR & Co co-founder Henry Kravis to buy back the investment in former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF). Semafor previously planned to return the investment received from SBF on January 4th. In June 2022, Semafor completed a $25 million seed funding round with participation from David Bradley, former owner of The Atlantic magazine, Jessica Lessin, CEO of The Information, Jorge Paulo Lemann, co-founder of 3G Capital, and SBF. However, the company refused to disclose SBF's investment amount and only stated that SBF did not receive any equity.
