nChain CEO announces resignation and states no longer believing Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto.
BlockBeats reported on October 1st that Christen Ager-Hanssen, former CEO of nChain Group, announced on social media that he had immediately resigned from the position of CEO after reporting several serious issues to the nChain Group board. Hanssen claimed that he no longer believed that Craig Wright, nChain's chief scientist, was the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. Hanssen subsequently released a screenshot of a report claiming to show evidence of Wright's browsing history, which contradicts Wright's long-standing claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
Hanssen also stated that he and five others submitted a whistleblower report to the nChain board, and that all six were subsequently fired or suspended. Hanssen plans to release the report, which involves the impact of billionaire Calvin Ayre on nChain's operations, and whom Hanssen refers to as a "shadow director/dictator".
On the other hand, the nChain board stated in a statement that concerns about recent business management had led the board to commission a detailed independent investigation. Prior to the board taking action based on the investigation results, Hanssen acted in a serious and inappropriate manner, which led to his dismissal. (The Block)
