Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) will launch a Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect trade settlement acceleration platform, HKEX SYNAPSE, based on the smart contract language DAML.

According to an official announcement from BlockBeats on October 5th, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) has announced the launch of the HKEX Synapse platform, an innovative integrated platform that allows multiple parties to jointly process post-settlement processes and improve market efficiency and transparency using the latest technology. As the latest optimization measure for the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, Synapse will be launched on October 9th, 2023, and will standardize and simplify post-trade workflows through DAML smart contract technology, improving operational efficiency and transparency while reducing settlement risk.
