On October 10th, BlockBeats reported that the CEO of OKCoin, Fang Hong, announced on his social media platform that they have decided to rename OKCoin to OKX globally in the coming months. Fang Hong stated that they have recently cancelled the "OKCoin" brand and product in several regions including Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, and Hong Kong. They will sequentially rename "OKCoin" to "OKX" starting from Singapore, then the European Union, and finally the United States. Customers in Singapore, the European Union, and the United States will receive the same product services under the same regulatory framework, just with a new brand.
