According to BlockBeats news on January 17th, Inception Capital (formerly OP Crypto) has completed fundraising for its first flagship fund, with a total amount of $30 million. The flagship fund, named Inception Fund of Funds I LP, is mainly targeted at family offices and high net worth individuals seeking diversified investments in early-stage crypto risk investments. Its investors include Mirana, FJ Labs, and Serafund. The fund plans to invest in approximately five new investment managers and funds each year, rather than supporting specific projects, protocols, or startups. "We hand over the funds to other institutional managers and obtain a fairly diversified investment portfolio from these funds," the fund has deployed approximately 30% of its capital to date and plans to continue focusing on emerging managers in the cryptocurrency venture capital field. The five management companies currently invested in are Syncracy Capital, Escape Velocity, Alliance, OrangeDAO, and Everyrealm. The fund also co-invested with Bain Capital Ventures, ParaFi Capital, Multicoin Capital, and a16z's Marc Andressen and Chris Dixon.
