Its unique selling point is that the network will be free to use, and the project hopes to improve user experience through cost subsidies. Zerion co-founder Evgeny Yurtaev said that for users, fees should not exist. Zerion plans to use tens of thousands of dollars to sponsor millions of transactions. After Dencun upgrades, this number is expected to be lower, and having its own network will increase Zerion's visibility and generate additional revenue. When asked what technology stack the Layer 2 network will be based on, Yurtaev said Zerion is working with unspecified partners and will launch it when ready, but discussions are still ongoing about which data availability layer it will use.
