MetaMask launches "Smart Transactions" feature to deal with MEV attacks

2024-05-06 21:44

BlockBeats news, on May 6, according to CoinDesk, the crypto wallet MetaMask launched a new feature designed to help users avoid MEV attacks, called "Smart Transactions", which will allow users to submit transactions to a "virtual memory pool" before they are officially confirmed on the official chain.

According to Consensys, the virtual memory pool will resist certain types of MEV strategies and will simulate transactions behind the scenes to help users get lower fees. This solution from MetaMask aims to completely change how MetaMask handles transactions within Ethereum.

In addition, the "Smart Transactions" feature will make it easier for users to track the progress of their transactions, which usually requires users to visit an independent "block browser" website similar to Etherscan.
