BlockBeats news, on July 28, the Financial Times quoted sources as saying that advisers to the campaign team of US Vice President Kamala Harris have been in contact with key figures in the crypto industry to build relationships that may eventually provide information for the development of a regulatory framework.
The report said that they have been communicating with Coinbase, Circle and Ripple Labs in recent days. A source told the Financial Times that Harris hopes to convey the message that the Democratic Party "supports business and supports responsible business."
The Harris campaign, Coinbase and Circle did not immediately respond to requests for comment. A Ripple spokesperson pointed to CEO Brad Garlinghouse's recent remarks on the social media platform X. Brad urged Harris to distance himself from "those who talk nonsense," referring to California Congressman Brad Sherman, who has been a harsh critic of cryptocurrencies.
