Bloomberg: Bridgewater Fund Former Quantitative Analyst Varun Kao Joins Bitwise

BlockBeats News, May 1st, according to Bloomberg, Varun Kao, former quantitative analyst at Bridgewater Associates, recently joined Bitwise Asset Management Inc., a San Francisco-based crypto asset management company, as a quantitative developer in its New York office.

According to his LinkedIn page, Bitwise also hired Charles McLellan from BNY Mellon in New York as an assistant portfolio manager, and Claudia Beranzoli, who previously worked at Amundi, as an assistant legal counsel.

Overall, Bitwise has recently recruited 8 new positions in the US and 2 new positions in Europe, expanding its total staff to 105.
