Kenyan Court Rules World Project Illegally Collected Data, Orders Deletion Within 7 Days

BlockBeats News, May 6th: The High Court of Kenya ruled that World (formerly Worldcoin) collected biometric data without legal consent and exchanged users' iris information for cryptocurrency rewards, violating privacy laws. The court ordered World and its agents to delete all data collected in Kenya within 7 days and prohibited them from continuing to collect or process data without assessment and without incentives in the future.
