BlockBeats News, May 11th, GF Holdings International released a statement stating that, according to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission's "Intermediaries Conducting Distribution of Tokenised Securities Activities Circular," it has submitted relevant business plans for tokenised securities distribution and digital bond issuance, both of which have been confirmed by the regulatory authorities to have no further issues. It pointed out that GF Holdings International submitted a wealth management-related business plan to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission on January 21, 2025, intending to distribute tokenised securities to clients or provide advice on tokenised securities based on its original securities trading business. The planned tokenised securities types include: structured products linked to multiple underlying assets (such as structured notes, OTC derivatives), SFC-approved funds and non-SFC-approved funds, and bonds.
Tokenised securities refer to traditional financial instruments (such as stocks, bonds, funds, etc.) that are digitally managed throughout the securities lifecycle through Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT, such as blockchain), essentially traditional securities packaged in a tokenised form, achieving a form of innovation through technological means.
