ZKSync Community Votes on Proposal to "Swap Burned ETH for ZK Tokens"

BlockBeats News, May 22nd, the ZKsync community's proposal GAP-3 regarding authorizing the ZKsync Security Council to convert the recovered ETH into ZK tokens has concluded voting today with a majority of support. The proposal indicates that considering the possibility of arbitrage and market manipulation, the method and timing of converting ETH into ZK tokens will not be publicly disclosed in advance.

In previous news, ZKsync was attacked in April 2025, resulting in unclaimed airdropped tokens being stolen, and $5 million of stolen funds has been returned by the hacker.
