WalletConnect is expanding token support to Solana and conducting a 5 million WCT airdrop.

BlockBeats News, May 24th, Cross-chain protocol WalletConnect announced that its governance token WCT has officially landed on the Solana network, and will airdrop 5 million WCT to active Solana users. This integration marks the beginning of WalletConnect's "multi-chain process," with integrations with more chains already in development.

WalletConnect Foundation founder Pedro Gomes stated that the protocol is transitioning from "Ethereum-centrism" to a "chain-agnostic protocol," and its deep collaboration with the Solana ecosystem has been ongoing for several months.
