BlockBeats News, May 24th, Polygon co-founder Mihailo Bjelic announced his departure from project development and resignation from the foundation's board.
Mihailo Bjelic stated on the social platform X that as the project matured, divergences in vision emerged, leading to the decision to step back from day-to-day operations. However, he will continue to support Polygon's development in other ways.
Bjelic, one of the four co-founders of Polygon (formerly Matic Network) in 2017, marks the exit of the project's third co-founder with this resignation. In 2023, the other two co-founders, Jaynti Kanani and Anurag Arjun, had previously departed.
