BlockBeats News, June 8th, According to The Washington Post, following a dispute between Trump and Musk, representatives from NASA and the Pentagon have called on Space X's competitors to accelerate the development of alternative rockets and spacecraft. Government officials have reached out to at least three commercial space companies: Rocket Lab, Stoke Space, and Blue Origin, to inquire about the status of their rockets and when they could be used for government missions.
Prior to this, Musk had indicated that he might stop the flights of the "Dragon" spacecraft, which would prevent NASA from scheduling astronaut trips to and from the International Space Station. Musk later backed off from this threat, but his statement raised concerns among NASA officials, as the Pentagon also heavily relies on Space X to launch its critical satellites.
