The U.S. Senate is set to vote on the GENIUS Stablecoin Bill this Wednesday.

2025-06-10 12:52

BlockBeats News, June 10th, according to Bloomberg, Senate Majority Leader John Thune has filed for cloture on the GENIUS Act and a vote is set for Wednesday.

According to an article published on X in the Senate Republican cloakroom, Thune on Monday filed for cloture on the base bill — the "Guiding and Encouraging New States of Innovation for Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act" — and its bipartisan amendment.

Last month, lawmakers voted 66-32 to block the stablecoin bill and initiate the cloture process, a procedural tool to limit debate and force a vote.
