BlockBeats reports on June 12, citing Cointelegraph, that Chainlink, JPMorgan's Kinexys, and Ondo Finance have completed a "first-of-its-kind" cross-chain Delivery versus Payment (DvP) settlement test, enabling asset swaps between a permissioned payment network and a public testnet.
According to Chainlink, the test involved the permissioned network Kinexys Digital Payments, operated by JPMorgan, and the Ondo Chain testnet, which focuses on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA).
The settlement was coordinated by Chainlink's Cross-Chain Runtime Environment (CRE). CRE is an off-chain computation layer designed to facilitate cross-chain interoperability for financial systems. In this transaction, the core asset was Ondo's tokenized U.S. Treasury fund, OUSG, which was exchanged using the Kinexys platform.
