BlockBeats News, June 13, according to The Block, the e-commerce platform Shopify announced a partnership with Coinbase and Stripe to support merchants in accepting payments using Circle's USDC stablecoin. Through this service, consumers in 34 countries can make payments using USDC on the Base chain, while merchants have the option to receive funds in their local fiat currency, which can be directly deposited into their bank accounts.
Shopify’s COO stated that this partnership would help merchants easily meet the growing global demand for stablecoin payments without the need to build their own crypto payment infrastructure. Coinbase has also collaborated with Shopify to launch a "Commercial Payment Protocol," aimed at addressing the challenges of using cryptocurrencies in business payment scenarios.
