Richard Liu: JD.com Will Apply for Stablecoin Licenses in Countries with Major Currencies Globally

BlockBeats reports that on June 17, according to Sina Finance, Richard Liu, Chairman of the Board of JD.com, stated during a sharing session that JD.com aims to apply for stablecoin licenses in all major currency countries globally. Through these stablecoin licenses, JD.com seeks to enable fund transfers between global enterprises, reducing cross-border payment costs by 90% and improving transaction speeds to within 10 seconds. Liu remarked, "Currently, remittances between enterprises take an average of 2 to 4 days, and the costs are quite high. After completing B2B payments, we will shift our focus to penetrating the C2C payment market. We hope that one day, people worldwide can use JD.com stablecoins for payments when making purchases globally."
