According to an official announcement, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced that Kevin Muhlendorf will officially become the new Inspector General of the agency on July 28th. Mr. Muhlendorf previously served as a lawyer at the SEC and the Department of Justice. For the past nine years, he has been a partner at the Washington, D.C. law firm Wiley Rein LLP, focusing on representing individuals and entities in white-collar criminal defense and government investigation matters in criminal and civil securities enforcement cases.
