BlockBeats News, August 15, according to Scam Sniffer monitoring, 1 hour ago, a victim lost 140 ETH, worth $636,559, by copying the wrong address from a tainted transaction history.
The address poisoning attacker achieves this by sending small transactions to the target wallet (usually zero-value or minimal "dust" transactions), causing a forged wallet address to appear in the target's transaction history. The forged address closely resembles the user's legitimate address to induce the user to mistakenly send funds to the attacker's address when copying and pasting the address.
