A TON Foundation intern airdropped coins during a pump.fun livestream and has now been fired.

The TON Foundation stated in a post, "We have noticed that recently, the behavior of an intern at the TON Foundation has raised some questions and concerns in the community. To clarify: the individual issued a personal Meme token on pump.fun and promoted it on social media and live streams using a personal X account with the TON logo. During this time, some plans for the future of the token were mentioned, but shortly after, the related posts were deleted, the live streams were stopped, and the project was abandoned.

This was not an initiative of the Foundation, and the Foundation has never approved or supported this project. However, given that this individual was responsible for managing the official TON X account and simultaneously promoted the token using an account with the TON logo, we understand that this could cause confusion and undermine trust.

We take this matter very seriously. This behavior is not in line with our values and does not meet the standards we require of anyone representing the TON Foundation (regardless of their role). As of today, the Foundation has terminated the individual's collaboration with the TON Foundation due to this incident."
