2025-09-23 11:52

BlockBeats News, September 23rd. According to the official account of the Tongling Intermediate People's Court in Anhui, Anhui Zongyang County Court recently concluded a dispute over unjust enrichment caused by cryptocurrency trading. In the case, Mr. Ding purchased 1300 Tether at a unit price of 7.44 yuan through a platform, with a total price of 9672 yuan. After the seller, Mr. Wu, confirmed the order, the sale was completed, and payment was received. However, Mr. Ding later claimed that the proceeds obtained by Mr. Wu were unjust enrichment and requested a refund.

The court held that the Tether transaction violated public order and good customs, rendering the behavior invalid. Any losses should be borne by the parties to the transaction, as the law does not protect such transactions. Therefore, the plaintiff's claims were dismissed.
