BlockBeats News, October 2nd, according to official sources, Perp DEX Lighter announced the official launch of its Ethereum L2-based mainnet, after 8 months of private testing. The first-season points program has ended, and the second season will continue until the end of 2025, with specific point acquisition methods to be announced soon. Users can now join freely without the need for an invite code or deposit limit, but the invitation program is still in place, where invitees can receive point-based incentives.
The Lighter protocol smart contract has been audited with a publicly available report, and a new block explorer has been launched to allow users to view orders and transactions. Retail traders conducting low-frequency or medium-frequency trades on the frontend will be permanently free, while API trades (including market makers and high-frequency traders) will now incur fees and introduce automatic rules to prevent wash trading and front-running.
With the start of the second season points program, the team will disclose more data regarding fee distribution, LLP holder earnings, and the protocol treasury mechanism.
