As of September 30, 2025, Tether's global user base has exceeded 500 million, with $6.8 billion in excess reserves serving as financial buffer. Over $17 billion in new USDT has been issued this year, and the total circulating supply of USDT has exceeded $174 billion. Tether's total exposure to U.S. Treasury bonds (direct and indirect) has reached a historical high of approximately $135 billion, making it one of the largest holders of U.S. government debt globally, ranking 17th in national rankings, surpassing South Korea. Additionally, Tether holds gold and Bitcoin reserves of $12.9 billion and $9.9 billion, respectively, accounting for about 13% of the total reserves.
