Real Madrid football Club will launch NFT smart tickets on the Flow chain
Real Madrid, the world's top football club, will launch NFT smart tickets on the Flow chain in partnership with LAVA, a software platform for fan engagement, on November 5. The product was tested at a match in Real Madrid in late September and will now be used more widely. The smart tickets will offer cryptocurrency rewards that will allow fans to access digital goods designed specifically for the contest, similar to fan tokens.
Real Madrid has more than 600 million fans around the world, but only a small fraction of those fans will be able to attend live matches, and the birth of the smart ticket NFT will greatly enhance the sense of participation of fans who cannot attend matches in person.
Real Madrid chief restructuring officer Michael Sutherland says: "using NFT can let our fans have the opportunity to exclusive investment team, collect digital goods and a part of the digital world. It fundamentally changed the fan experience. In the future, NFT can let the club and our fans for online and offline contact, create a whole new experience."
