Ethereum domain services are moving to DAO, and Coinbase intends to participate in governance
On November 10, Ethereum Domain Name Service (ENS) began licensing the DAO to widely distribute its ENS governance tokens. Unlike many crypto /Web3 projects, ENS does not receive venture capital funding and as much as 25% of new tokens will be airdropped to its users. Anyone who registered a. Eth domain name before October 31 is eligible to claim an equal amount of ENS tokens, depending on when and for how long the domain name was registered. According to ENS Director of Operations Brantly Millegan, about 137,000 personal wallet addresses can claim an average of 180 tokens, with a median price of around $11,000 as of press time.
