Microsoft has partnered with Meta to integrate metaverse related products, Microsoft Teams, with the Workplace platform
Microsoft is partnering with Meta (formerly Facebook) to integrate Microsoft Teams into Meta's Workplace platform, according to The Verge, Nov. 10. Microsoft Teams integration with Workplace will enable users to use Workplace related services through the Teams applications. In addition, Workplace is integrated into Microsoft's SharePoint, OneDrive and Office 365 suites, Azure Active Directory.
On November 3, Microsoft announced that it will release new Metaverse products next year, including support for PowerPoint and Excel. Its first metaverse related product, a version of the Microsoft Teams chat and meeting app with digital avatars, is currently being tested and will be available in the first half of 2022.
