Animoca Brands has led a $3.5 million seed round for metaverse game Moonray

Animoca Brands inc. (NASDAQ: Animoca) is leading a $3.5 million seed round of funding for metaverse game Moonray. GBV Capital, Metavest Capital, LD Capital and Lucid Blue Ventures were among the investors. Moonray is an NFT powered meta-universe game built on the Bitcoin related Stacks blockchain network. This round of funding will be used for NFT market research and development to allow players to buy, sell and trade unique in-game artifacts. Moonray aims to create an economy where players will be able to buy digital items using Bitcoin and credit cards. Moonray and moonray-related NFT markets will launch in March 2022 for early access for selected players.
