DareNFT CEO: Programmability of NFT and NFT2.0

On November 1, 2021, Duke Nguyen, CEO of DareNFT, spoke in the NPC community about the exploration of NFT programmability and the topic of NFT 2.0. In the AMA, the discussion included:

This AMA is the second and last session of NFT special held by NPC community. In the last session, we invited representative NFT virtual universe team members from River to chat with us about NFT investment, market and the vision and concrete realization of a virtual universe NFT project. Hopefully this will give you an overview of the NFT project and the market.

This AMA will be a further journey. We have previously discussed the basic situation of NFT as a virtual world Avatar or different forms of expression such as music and game props, but this time we hope to explore the evolution of NFT technology standards themselves as the industry moves forward.

The existing NFT is mainly based on ERC721 standard. Compared with ERC20, it mainly adds two standard methods of "unique ID" and "metadata". So, can NFT add some underlying features for further innovation?

With this assumption in mind, I researched a number of NFT projects on the market, and finally came across DareNFT, which is doing something very much in line with the AMA theme: the inherent programmability of NFT and the exploration of NFT 2.0 applications. In short, DareNFT has built a protocol called NFT 2.0 that implements a new NFT asset standard and a set of new features, along with a set of application scenarios and platforms.

1. Understand NFT 2.0 and ERC 721 standards

Leo:How do I understand NFT 2.0 versus the existing ERC 721 NFT standard?

2. DareNFT is introduced

Leo:请 DareNFT 团队整体介绍一下 DareNFT 项目，是基于何种契机想到创建 DareNFT，以及当前项目处于哪个阶段？

Duke:Basically, DareNFT is building protocols for NFT 2.0. DareNFT is the generic NFT 2.0 protocol for digital assets. Mainstream adoption of NFT depends on its ability to fully reflect the benefits of digital assets. DareNFT has developed a product that addresses the current problems of NFT 1.0: unidentifiable interests between NFT, unidentifiable relationships between NFT owners, and hidden risks of NFT ownership. Our first product is DarePlay, which is a GameFi platform that includes a blockchain-based game launcher for non-NFT games and a launched IGO service for rent-to-earn and rent-to-earn markets for in-game item NFT. After our first product is fully built and well-positioned in the market, we plan to further advance the derivative NFT content platform.

Duke:Like the image you just shared above. DareNFT proposed the NFT 2.0 protocol, which is still compatible with mainstream NFT, but helps solve the common problems. Specifically, the NFT 2.0 protocol brings the following benefits:

1. The creator receives royalties from the income of the derivative owner

2. Support shared mode

3. Support multi-chain lease NFT mode

4. Compatible with existing NFT 1.0

3. DNFT

Leo:What is the role of DNFT in the project, what are the usage scenarios, and how will the token be allocated?

Leo:Can you tell us about your team?

Duke:I want to share more information about myself, and then share information about my team. I'm the CEO of DareNFT. I studied at Hanoi University of Science and Technology before receiving a Japanese government scholarship to study quantum computing. During my studies, I published many articles in leading technology magazines and received an invitation to intern at Microsoft headquarters. After graduation, I returned to Vietnam and worked as an R&D engineer at Topica, the largest educational technology company in Vietnam. I left six months later to start my own business, a video-conferencing startup building platform. Two years later, I quit it completely and started a new educational technology company that ran an e-learning platform. Now that the company is growing steadily, I have handed over the CEO role to another founder and am 200% focused on DareNFT.

Our COO Teddy Nguyen is my brother and co-founder of SotaTek, Vietnam's leading blockchain outsourcing company. SotaTek also co-founded Iced Lab as a founding shareholder, and Icetea Labs is the owner of the Polkafoundary project and Launchpad "RedKite". Teddy also has overseas experience with several well-known companies in Japan, South Korea and the United States.

Teddy's close friend from college and CTO of DareNFT, Thomas Nguyen, was formerly CTO of Luxstay and Head of solutions at Adayroi. He is also the CEO of Agile Blockchain, a leading Blockchain solution provider in Vietnam.

Victor Tran, co-founder of Kyber Network, served as an adviser to the team. Victor (Vu), Mr. Duke's classmate, was the inspiration for the entire DareNFT team to build the project. 5. Integration of existing NFT assets

Leo:DareNFT proposes a new protocol standard. Can existing NFT assets be converged?

Duke:Yes. We are building new protocols for NFT to do this.

Leo:Is DareWork a content platform like Mirror, or a medium?

Duke:It's still in test mode. It's more of a protocol than a platform.

7. Competitiveness of DareNFT

Leo:What are the main revenue products of DareNFT in the future? Does DareNFT have any existing counterbid products? What are DareNFT's core competitiveness and commercial layout to reach the target market?

Duke:For the main revenue, I will focus on our first product, DarePlay. Our program has many sources of income. But for now, we'll focus on DarePlay. After bringing a number of games to DareNFT, we collect a fee from the game projects and charge users for transactions in the DarePlay marketplace. After DarePlay, we will build another protocol to fulfill our vision in NFT 2.0. DareWork is our second product.

Leo:Will the revenue be distributed to DNFT holders?

Duke:Yes, as I shared above.

3. Does DNFT pledge proceeds?

4. "This protocol converts traditional games to NFT games using DarePlay", does that mean the protocol will be integrated into traditional games to convert in-game items to NFT? Is there a limit to the type of game?

Duke:We built protocols that added liquidity to NFT 1.0 through leasing mechanisms and co-ownership models, which NFT 1.0 did not have. DarePlay can be integrated with another game project. Yes. It is also a bridge for traditional gaming companies to join the blockchain space.

5. Are there any projects that are already integrated in DareNFT or will be integrated soon?

Duke:For game partners, we are working with Planet Sand Box to launch our new INO (first NFT release) and the whitelist is now open. INO is similar to IDO, but unlike purchasing project tokens, INO allows users to receive rare items in the game. Currently, a DNFT or game token is required to claim the item. Let me share some information about our first INO.

Planet Sandbox is the ultimate physics-driven Sandbox shooter that allows players to build and own arenas and use their NFT weapons and accessories to battle other players in different game modes.

Planet Sandbox has successfully raised private equity from investors, Including Icetea Labs, ExNetwork Capital, NGC Ventures, Momentum 6, X21 Digital, Basics Capital and Discovery Capital $1.5 million. The game also completed their IDO on RedKite and GameFi with oversubscription.

Planet Sandbox will now play their INO on DarePlay, where blind boxes will be sold to $PSB gamers. INO will benefit both $DNFT and $PSB holders.

6. Are the numbers on CoinGecko correct? Maximum supply and total supply.

Duke:Maximum supply of DNFT on CoinGecko is correct. But the total supply may not be correct. We are checking it now and will update soon.

7. Can you name three projects that you think have great growth potential?

Duke:It's hard to share with you right now. I am interested in many blockchain projects. However, as a true builder of the crypto market, I prefer infrastructure-type blockchain projects. These projects are building and enhancing the blockchain space, just as our team is doing now.

Harmony -- they are building a solid infrastructure for NFT and gaming projects, Enjin is also on our radar, and of course DareNFT.
