ETH Shanghai Web3.0 Developer Summit is underway

ETH Shanghai Web 3.0 Developer Conference officially kicked off on May 20th with the sponsorship and support of the Ethereum Foundation. BlockBeats, as the media support of this conference, will follow up the conference.

During ETH Shanghai Web 3.0 Developer Summit, the organizing committee of ETH Shanghai will hold the hackathon Contest, the core event of the summit. Ethereum Shanghai Hackathon will encourage developers to collaborate and explore innovative solutions in the social space of Web3. With a $140,000 prize pool and several [two dozen] industry partners, the hackathon aims to create a rewarding development experience and create new insights into how social networking and related experiences happen in Web3.

Highlights of the Conference

The soul identity Token will play a role in ethereum's non-financial layer applications

Vitalik Buterin 谈到了最近在论文《Searching for the soul of Web3: planning for a future built on trustSoulbound Tokens, which states that more application layer instances will benefit from this new identity Token, reiterates the importance of DAO, privacy, and decentralized governance to the Ethereum ecosystem.    

Will increase ethereum block capacity to 16MB in the long term and will support Rollup to 80,000 TPS

The ethereum team has proposed an expansion plan called "Danksharding," which will expand ethereum's block capacity to 80,000 TPS per second in the long term, and eventually Rollup to 80,000 TPS per second. Proto-danksharding will be completed first, supporting 1MB block capacity and 5000 TPS. Ethereum 2.0 is currently undergoing final network testing, and if everything is ironed out, the merger could happen as early as August, "or September or October if something else comes up".  

V God: Ethereum ecosystem is too focused on financial applications and needs to develop more applications in other areas

The Ethereum ecosystem is now too focused on financial applications such as DeFi. The risks of financial applications are too high and there is little room for improvement. More applications in other areas need to be developed.
