If the app you want to use doesn't offer support, try connecting your BrightID to other apps and get support first.

Q11: What should be done for "social recovery"?

A11: You must choose at least three people as the recovery connection person, and the connection person must set you as "already understood "; This person must be someone you absolutely trust, to ensure that your account will not be hijacked, and can be contacted when needed. We strongly oppose using a stranger as a recovery person, because such an account is likely to be lost and cannot be retrieved. If you can't find such a suitable person, you can create several unauthenticated accounts by yourself, just as your social recovery person.

For account security, it will take  7 days for changes on the recovery connection to take effect.

Q12: What should I do if it fails to connect to the app and prompts "contextID xxxxx is used by another user before"?

A12: When this happens, sometimes it is a system problem, but the probability is like this--you had another BrightId/your BrightID before Installed/you scanned the QR code without BrightID verification, this will be regarded as a different BrightID user.

What we need to remind is that a person can only have one BrightID account, and it is bound to the device.

Q13: How do I unlink an App from BrightID?

A13: To prevent "Sybil" attacks, the app does not allow you to unlink the App from your account. But most apps allow you to link multiple app accounts to the same BrightID, so the answer is usually: connect again with a new account. Q14: Why doesn't BrightID use biometrics?
