ChatGPT is undoubtedly one of the fastest growing apps of recent times, and its rise is heating up the generative AI circuit. ChatGPT reached an estimated 100 million monthly active users in January, just two months after its launch. TikTok took about nine months from launch to reach 100 million users, while Meta's Instagram took about 2.5 years. We can't remember an app expanding so fast. ChatGPT is challenging every aspect of human working life.Community friends proposed that ChatGP T might replace existing human jobs and overturn the demand pattern for talents in the society. BlockBeats has rounded up its views below.

Top 10 Career Crises Caused by ChatGPT

The following views are taken fromAIGC Exploration station director Szhans.

ChatGPT was just a few months old, and the business world was making waves. It wasn't a battle of technology platforms. It was AIGC revolutionizing the world.

We're already seeing massive disruption in education and healthcare. In recent days, more technology leaders have directly declared that this is the most powerful technological innovation they have experienced in their lives, comparable to the industrial Revolution.

Here's the "bad news" from Business Insider, who spoke with professionals in a variety of fields to find the top 10 jobs directly affected by ChatGPT's technology. They are:

1. Technical work (coder, computer programmer, software engineer, data analyst)

Programmers, software developers and data analysts could be replaced by AI, according to experts interviewed by BI.

While computer programming is a skill in high demand, technologies like ChatGPT will fill a lot of the gaps in the near future. According to Madgavkar, technical jobs such as software developers, web developers, programmers and data scientists are "quite receptive" to AI technology "taking more of their jobs."

That's because AI like ChatGPT is good at calculating in a relatively accurate way. ChatGPT, on the other hand, can generate code faster than humans, which means fewer employees can get the job done.

Mark Muro, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, told BI that he has studied the impact of AI on the US workforce: "The work of a team of software developers may require only a fraction of them." ChatGPT maker OpenAI itself is already considering replacing software engineers with AI.

Still, Oded Netzer, a professor at Columbia Business School, thinks AI will help coders rather than replace them. "In terms of work, I think it's mostly an enhancer rather than a complete replacement for work. Coding and programming is a good example. It can actually code very well."

2. Media work (advertising, content creation, technical writing, news)

Figure 2 represents knowledge workers who are good at producing written content. Madgavkar says entire media jobs -- including those in advertising, technical writing, journalism and any role involved in content creation -- could be strongly affected by things like ChatGPT. That's because AI is good at reading, writing and understanding text-based data, she added.

"Analyzing and interpreting large amounts of language-based data and information is a skill, and you'd expect AIGC skills to improve."

Economist Paul Krugman op-ed in the New York Timeswww.nytimes.comChatGPT may be able to perform tasks like reporting and writing "more efficiently than humans." The media industry is already experimenting with artificial intelligence-generated content. Tech news site CNET has written dozens of articles using AI tools similar to ChatGPT's, while BuzzFeed has announced recently that it will use ChatGPT's maker's technology to generate new forms of content. (Then the valuation soared.)

Madgavkar argues that much of what content creators do cannot be automated, and that each of these professions involves a great deal of human judgment.

3. Work in the legal industry (paralegal, legal assistant)

As with media roles, jobs in the legal industry, such as paralegals and legal assistants, are responsible for consuming large amounts of information, synthesizing what they have learned, and then making it digestible through legal briefs or opinions. Madgavkar says that language-oriented roles like these can easily be automated: "The data is actually quite structured, very language-oriented, and therefore quite beneficial to AIGCs."

But equally, AI will not fully automate these jobs because it requires a degree of human judgment to understand what a customer or employer wants.

"It's almost kind of like the productivity boost that these careers might get because you get to use tools that actually do a better job."

4. Market Research Analyst

Mark Muro says AI is good at analyzing data and predicting outcomes. This is why market research analysts may be vulnerable to AI-driven changes. Market research analysts are responsible for collecting data, identifying trends in that data, and then using what they find to design effective marketing campaigns or decide where to place ads.

"These are the kinds of things that we're seeing now that AI can handle."

5 Teachers

Teachers across the country are worried about students using ChatGPT to cheat, but they should also consider their own job security, according to Pengcheng Shi, associate chair of the computing and information science department at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

ChatGPT is already teaching with ease, Shi told the New York Post: "While it has mistakes and inaccuracies in terms of knowledge, it's easy to improve. Basically, you just train ChatGPT."

6. Financial Work (financial analyst, personal financial consultant)

Muro, the Brookings fellow, went on to say that AI could affect jobs like market research analysts, financial analysts, personal financial advisers and others in personal finance that require manipulation of large amounts of digital data.

"Ai can identify trends in the market, highlight which investments in a portfolio are doing better and which are doing worse, communicate all of that, and then it's up to, for example, financial firms to use all sorts of other forms of data to predict better portfolios; these analysts make a lot of money, but part of their job is something that can be automated."

7 Trader

Photo 7 shows traders working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange in New York City.

Some of Wall Street's roles could also be in jeopardy, according to Mr. Shi of the Rochester Institute of Technology.

"" In investment banks, people are hired right out of university and spend two or three years working like robots, doing Excel modelling - you can get AI to do that.

8 Graphic Designer

In a Harvard Business Review article in December, three professors identified [DALL-E], an artificial intelligence tool that can generate images in seconds, as a potential disruptor in the graphic design industry.

"Increasing the ability of millions of people to create and process images will have a profound impact on the economy, and these latest advances in AI are sure to usher in a period of hardship and financial pain for some people whose jobs are directly affected and who find it difficult to adapt."

9 Accountants

Accounting is generally seen as a stable profession], but careers in this field are at risk.

Brett Caraway, an associate professor at the Institute of Communications, Culture, Information and Technology at the University of Toronto, spoke last week on Toronto's Global News Radio 640. "Technology has not yet put everyone out of work, but it has certainly put some people out of work, and intellectual Labour, in particular, may be under threat. This is something new, and it will be interesting to see how disruptive and painful it is for jobs and politics."

10. Customer service personnel

You may have had the experience of calling a brand company's customer hotline or asking questions online and having the robot answer. ChatGPT and related technologies will accelerate this trend. A 2022 study by tech research firm Gartner predicts that chatbots will be the primary customer service channel for about 25 percent of companies by 2027.

If you can take a unique view of ChatGPT as a "complex adaptive system," BI's interview and analysis are not alarmist. The bad news could be even worse than currently imagined.

1. Entry:  Specific questions and unique solutions, such as answering customer-specific questions.

2. Middle:  The problem is clear and the method is not unique, such as writing an essay on a given topic.

3. High: The problem is not clear and the method is not unique, such as what an NFT project should do next.

For the second class of Middle Level talents

a. If the article is based on the summary of historical information and small innovation, ChatGPT can be basically competent under the condition of short length. There are already many friends in e-commerce business who use ChatGPT to write the copy of marketing activities. Some bloggers use ChatGPT + Midjourney + ClipchampPicture storyComparable to 80% of the products on the market.

b. ChatGPT has had some success at long lengths, such as passing the Wharton School exam.

c. Topics that require reasoning, insight, and innovation are not suitable for ChatGPT at present, because they require imagination and foresight for the future, and the future development is a leap, and algorithms are better at following the trajectory of historical data.

1. Know the status quo

2. Find out a series of related problems.

3. Decide which issue is the most important based on the current situation and the forecast for the future.

4. Let the team trust their judgment.

To sum up

1. ChatGPT is capable of: clarifying fixed answers to questions, summarizing based on historical information and innovating in a small way.

2. ChatGPT fails: imagination, decision making and Communication.

Solution 1: Get yourself upstream of the problem and be the one who defines it. Training imagination, decision making and communication skills to compete in a way that machines cannot.

Answer the question

If I write this post, for example, there are a lot of articles out there about ChatGPT, so if I write a new post, and I choose which point to start with, I'm defining the problem and I need to understand the situation, make a decision, and produce a solution; After the article is published, the reader's feedback will let me know the quality of the decision and the completion of the solution, and then I will iterate based on the feedback, and the relevant ability will naturally improve round by round.

Solution 2We need to design a training system for ourselves. It is highly recommended to train decision-making and problem solving skills through daily writing, while improving communication skills through participating in projects.

1. Have an idea but lack of team help to output complete works, including information collection, sorting, multimedia production... The output frequency is low and unstable, and the content form is single.

2. The content is hard to monetize.

For the first point, with the help of AI tools, one person is a team, writing stories, programming, drawing, composing music... Nothing you can't do, only you can't think of.

At the same time, the chances of new platforms emerging will increase greatly, especially web3 content commercialization, which has already seen some interesting cases.@overpricedjpegs,@NFT_GOD

, optimistic that there will be large-scale cases this year.

Solution 3: 2023 will be the first year of solopreneur. Opportunities will come to interdisciplinary talents with creative, tool and business understanding. Individual creators must upgrade themselves.

1. ChatGPT is going to replace a lot of jobs. We need differentiators: imagination, decision making, communication, being the person who asks the questions.

2. The traditional talent training system will fail. We need to design a training system for ourselves to improve constantly based on feedback.

3. 2023 will be the first year of individual entrepreneurs, and opportunities will be given to interdisciplinary talents who are creative, understand tools and understand business. Individual creators need to upgrade.
