After 17 months, the PFP project of top NFT artists is finally going to be released.

On September 19th, the famous NFT artist FEWOCiOUS finally announced the minting details of his PFP project Fewos.

Fewos Casting Details

Here is a quick summary of the casting details for you:

- Total of 20,000 pieces.- Holders of FewoWorld Paint can receive 1 free Fewos airdrop. If you hold 10 or more FewoWorld Paint, you can use "Flowers" to cast more for free after the airdrop ends. The specific number of additional free casts after the airdrop ends is subject to the results displayed on the official calculator at https://fewos.fewoworld.io/.- Holding FEWOCiOUS art pieces (including FewoWorld Paint) can be minted at a discounted price of 0.125 ETH, which will be adjusted based on the current supply. During the airdrop and free minting phase, the ideal scenario is to have 14,000 Fewos airdropped/minted. As the discount minting phase approaches, the discount price will decrease by 5% for every 500 Fewos below 14,000. For example, if there are only 13,000 Fewos airdropped/minted during the discount minting phase, the discount price will correspondingly decrease by 10%.

- The public sale price is 0.4 ETH and there are 3 phases, including a limited public sale on Nifty Gateway, Allowlist minting on the FewoWorld official website, and minting available to all NFT players. The public sale price will also be adjusted based on the remaining minting quantity, as mentioned above.

The story of Fewos begins 17 months ago.

In April 2022, FewoWorld Paint was released, which is FEWOCiOUS's first generative art project featuring paint drip images against a sky background. FewoWorld Paint was sold for a limited time and quantity, and in 24 hours, a total of 30,198 copies were sold, with a total sales revenue of nearly $20 million. Prior to this, he had collaborated with top projects such as RTFKT, and he was also the youngest artist to enter the Christie's auction and the first artist to crash the Christie's website due to overwhelming demand. He released his first artwork on SuperRare in May 2020, and in about two years, his total career sales have reached $50 million, and he is only 20 years old now.

FewoWorld Paint is known as the "cornerstone" of FewoWorld. FEWOCiOUS wants to create a metaverse that connects all of his works. FewoWorld currently has two main parts: one is the upcoming Fewos, and the other is FewoWorld Canvas. Simply put, FewoWorld Canvas is an invitation from FEWOCiOUS for people to come and paint offline. The NFT version of the artwork will be airdropped to participants of the offline painting party and the top 50 FewoWorld Paint holders.

Fewos is a 3D PFP series and one of the "residents" in FewoWorld. As seen in the trailer released in January of this year, its art style is a psychedelic children's anime style.

Fewos is divided into three categories in terms of story and artistic setting: "Frankenstein", "Misunderstood", and "Humanoid".

Aside from its artistic appeal, another highlight of Fewos is its use of the ERC-6551 standard, just like Jeff Staple's Sapienz. This means that the appearance of Fewos can be changed based on different accessories such as clothes, pants, and shoes. Each Fewos is both an NFT and a wallet, and these accessory NFTs are stored in the Fewos NFT. When a Fewos NFT is traded, the accessories will also be owned by the new holder.

Each Fewos NFT will receive an airdrop of 1 "Flower", and every drop of FewoWorld Paint will also receive a "Flower" airdrop. The more FewoWorld Paint held, the higher the rarity of the received "Flower", which means that more rare equipment accessories can be obtained.

FEWOCiOUS's artistic guarantee and his design experience with RTFKT for accessories are the absolute highlights of this project, which may bring unlimited possibilities to the ERC-6551 gameplay. However...

Despite FEWOCiOUS denying the allegations from @windsandnstars in a tweet on June 18th, Adidas announced on its official Discord on June 21st that it would suspend its collaboration with FEWOCiOUS. The two were originally set to launch the Adidas Originals x FEWOCiOUS series, where NFT holders would be able to redeem a physical version of the Adidas Originals Campus 00 sneakers for free.

This matter seems to have not been completely resolved... @windsandnstars stated "the dust has settled" on Twitter on July 7th, and then tweeted again on August 29th saying "now filled with hope for the future". FEWOCiOUS only stated on July 8th that lawyers were taking action to handle the matter, and has not discussed it since. So, is the accusation true or false? How it will be handled in the future is unknown to us.

Setting aside this scandal, Fewos is facing an even bigger challenge - the current PFP is really cold...

Due to the decreasing mechanism of casting prices, it is difficult for us to predict the situation of Fewos' release. If the "ideal situation" mentioned at the beginning of the article occurs, the discount price casting stage can have a better expectation, and there will be less margin left for the public sale stage. Nevertheless, the public sale price of 0.4 ETH is still high. Considering Nakamigos-CLOAKS' initial sales plan of selling 20,000 for 0.05 ETH, which was generally not favored, 1,000 ETH can only support the sale of 2,500 Fewos under this circumstance.

However, this is still FEWOCiOUS... It's really hard to say what the sales situation will be like if the discount casting price and public sale price are reduced. The decreasing mechanism of casting price adds variables to the final sales situation, and Fewos has tried its best to alleviate the pressure that may be faced in the public sale process.

Now the floor price of FewoWorld Paint on OpenSea is 0.23 ETH. According to the minting rules, it means that you can get a Fewos for only 0.23 ETH. Before the floor price reaches 0.4 ETH, there are about 50 orders for FewoWorld Paint on OpenSea. If these orders cannot be consumed before the snapshot taken at 1:00 am on September 26th Beijing time, the sale of Fewos may become more difficult.

After 17 months of ups and downs, Fewos has finally stumbled to the starting line. Faced with scandals and a cold market reception for PFP, will Fewos succeed? We wait and see.
