Original Article Title: "ELDE to Land on Binance Alpha Soon, What to Expect from Kaia Chain Gaming Ecosystem?"

On the evening of May 26, Binance Wallet announced that the nineteenth TGE project is Elderglade (ELDE), with the event scheduled for May 27, 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00, requiring Alpha Points to participate. An additional 16 million ELDE coins will be used for future events. Simultaneously, ELDE will also be listed on the Bybit Megadrop.
Elderglade is a pixelated retro-style MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) looting game and has become one of the first games to land on the Line Dapp Portal. It features classic RPG turn-based combat.
Currently, Elderglade is primarily a PvP match-3 mobile game, rapidly accumulating 3 million monthly active users, with the official disclosure stating over 4 million daily matches. The Elderglade development team later announced on social media that they will launch an immersive AI-driven MMORPG, featuring AI-generated wilderness maps, AI-driven NPC entities with memory and personality, ensuring each adventure experience is unique and eliminating repetitive monster grinding. It will also incorporate turn-based strategy reminiscent of "Heroes of Might and Magic" and loot mechanics from "Diablo," combined with an "Animal Heroes" setting to create a differentiated experience. Finally, through the Kaia Chain, it will enable NFT asset on-chain transactions, $ELDE token circulation, allowing players to trade equipment, manage town buildings (such as taverns and blacksmith shops), and even earn passive income through "farm cards."
Elderglade claims to have over 11 million mobile users, surpassing the total of Axie Infinity, Pixels, and STEPN. As a flagship chain game supported by the Kaia public chain, Elderglade has reached a broad East Asian (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China) and Southeast Asian market through Line, with Japanese, Thai, and Taiwanese players accounting for over 60%. It also claims a 20.5% conversion rate, three times that of Candy Crush, AFK Arena, and Genshin Impact. Monthly revenue reaches $1-2 million, surpassing Star Atlas, Illuvium, and Off the Grid. It has generated over 3.7 million transactions in total, exceeding Decentraland and The Beacon combined. It has a total of over 7 million wallets, more than The Sandbox and Big Time. It boasts an ARPPU of 7.11, surpassing PUBG and Clash of Clans, exceeding the MMORPG waiting list scales of WoW Classic, New World, and GW2 pre-launch.
Elderglade is developed by W3Forge game development studio, with its official website showing a team of over 20 employees. Funding information has not been disclosed yet.
The studio previously released a Web3 horse racing game called Zkrace in 2021.
$ELDE is the native utility token of the Elderglade ecosystem. It supports gameplay, transactions, NFT minting, staking rewards, asset upgrades, and other functions. Currently, in Elderglade's match-3 mobile game, players can use $ELDE to purchase boosters and energy replenishments, access advanced missions and special events, compete for leaderboard rewards, unlock limited-time bonuses, with monthly in-game transaction revenue ranging from $300,000 to $500,000.
Facing the common inflation and reward imbalance issues in Play-to-Earn models, Elderglade has adopted a relatively "closed-loop" economic model.
· Token Mechanics: The total supply of $ELDE is fixed, with burning achieved through in-game consumption (such as upgrading equipment, purchasing tickets);
· Diversified Earnings: Players can earn through PvP matches, daily task completion, friend referrals (with a referral program rewarding 5000 points), token staking, and other channels, maintaining a balance between active gameplay and passive income;
· AI Monitoring and Adjustment: A real-time data analysis system dynamically adjusts the reward pool and resource output to avoid excessive grind or diminishing returns, ensuring the long-term health of the ecosystem.
However, the fundamental "death spiral" issue of the dual-token economics of blockchain games has not truly been resolved. As a leading chain game on the Kaia public chain, Elderglade mainly relies on the Line platform's traffic matrix, with the precursor of the "social media giant + Play-to-Earn" model undoubtedly being the Ton game ecosystem that was a hit in 24. Compared to Telegram's nearly 1 billion user base and Ton's casual games with over 20 million monthly active users, the Kaia ecosystem has not pursued user accumulation but has instead learned from the experience of the "Tap-to-Earn" casual games death spiral, focusing on expanding gameplay. According to Elderglade's report, its user base consists mainly of medium to heavy gamers, with an average of 3 logins per day, a single session duration of 18 minutes, and a conversion rate of 20%.
However, the GameFi narrative in the market has not yet moved away from the "pay-to-win" logic. As the pioneer of the retro style, MapleStory is also deeply caught in the contradiction between pay-to-win efficiency and user retention after the Binance Wallet TGE. Can Elderglade make a splash as the first project on the Kaia chain? Or will it be another swing of the scythe for blockchain games?
