Protocol Lead of Base: Will not be announcing Base's token release date anytime soon

BlockBeats News, October 2nd, Jesse Pollak, the lead of the Base Protocol, stated in an interview with Fortune Magazine that Base's code is open source, and the chain aims to become an ecosystem similar to Linux, to be used by a wide range of cryptocurrency developers. This is also a key reason why Coinbase plans to issue tokens on Base—to coordinate incentive mechanisms and token decentralization.
Jesse mentioned that token issuance often comes at the expense of sacrificing the broader blockchain community's interests to make supporters rich. Therefore, Coinbase is proceeding with caution. Coinbase is determined not to rush token deployment and has no intention to announce a release date soon.
