Viewpoint: The Astra Nova Theft May Not Be Accurate, as the Fund Flow Does Not Align with Typical Hacker Behavior

2025-10-19 11:29

BlockBeats News, October 19th, On-chain analyst EmberCN stated that they have doubts about the claim made by Astra Nova (RVV) of a third-party custody account being hacked. The hacker converted the stolen assets to USDT for holding and directly transferred it to a centralized exchange (CEX), which is unusual. Since USDT can be frozen and direct transfers to CEX may trigger risk control measures, hackers usually do not operate in this manner.

Currently, a total of 860 million RVV tokens (8.6% of the total supply) were transferred out from the project's minting contract and sold off-chain, leading to a significant drop in RVV's price. The 860 million RVV tokens were sold in exchange for 10.288 million USDT, with 8.226 million USDT being transferred to a CEX, while the remaining 2.041 million USDT is still held in the on-chain wallet 0x643.
