On October 8, CZ made a rare appearance at the "BNB Super Cycle" AMA hosted by Trust Wallet, alongside BNB core projects such as Aster, Four.meme, and Pancake.
During the AMA, CZ addressed recent hot topics in the BNB Chain ecosystem and also shared his deep insights and thoughts on the future trends of the crypto industry.
BlockBeats has compiled his ten most noteworthy key answers, covering topics such as the MEME market, Aster's growth, Yzi Labs' investment direction, new opportunities in RWA and AI, and the era-defining meaning of the "Binance Life."
Q1: What is the current state of the crypto market?
「Everyone's in hack mode and war mode.」 CZ said that the current market is in a high-pressure state. Project teams are almost not sleeping, constantly trial-and-erroring, and rapidly launching. He said this is not chaos but rather the "adrenaline of the crypto industry."
Q2: How did BNB Chain grow?
「I didn't plan it. I just help people become more successful.」 CZ's metaphor is "a garden, not a skyscraper." He doesn't plan but rather lets good projects grow naturally.
Launchpad, Trust Wallet, Pancake, and Aster's listing team—these originally independent projects have now become a collaborative ecosystem.
Q3: Was "Binance Life" planned?
CZ responded: 「Completely unplanned, I didn't even expect it to go viral.」
He recalled: A few days ago, he saw a netizen's cat named Wan Wan posting "Work hard, enjoy Binance Life," and casually replied, "That's Binance Life." In less than a day, this phrase was turned into a meme and spread like wildfire across the internet.
On the Mid-Autumn Festival, he changed another congratulatory tweet, and the BNB community instantly exploded with reposts, derivatives, and imitations.
CZ believes that "you cannot predict the energy of the community; it is organic." Without a budget or marketing, but it resonated with everyone. In his view, "Binance Life" is a metaphor for an era—where everyone striving on the chain is living it.
Q4. Thoughts on Four.Meme
CZ mentioned that he recently discussed another issue: the language support for future exchanges, Launchpads, and DEXs should no longer be limited to just English and Chinese. More languages should be visible in the ecosystem. "It might be a bit hard for me personally (laughs),
but we must support it. Blockchain is all about enabling more people to participate."
Q5. About Aster
The Aster project team plans to become a multi-chain liquidity aggregation layer, supporting multi-asset collateralization, and will launch perpetual contract trading integrated natively with Trust Wallet next week.
CZ believes that DEX growth ≠ competition, but rather mutual benefit.
"Trading any cryptocurrency is good for BNB."
He emphasized that the success of BNB Chain does not rely on competition. "Many think that Layer1s must compete with each other, but in reality, they don't. When one chain becomes stronger, the entire industry becomes stronger."
Currently, the penetration rate of the crypto world is less than 1%, and the real goal is to expand the entire industry.
He also mentioned Aster's current high transaction volume, partly from the Season 2 Airdrop activity, but this is a healthy user acquisition mechanism. The key is whether it can attract real users and institutions to participate.
Q6: About Prediction Markets like Polymarket
CZ believes that "Prediction Markets" will be a very large field in the future.
Some also refer to it as "Event Futures"—where any event can become a contract target.
In CZ's view, monetary voting is more persuasive than language voting. The narrative of traditional or mainstream media is no longer accurate; we have seen this in the Israel-Palestine conflict and even in the last U.S. election—Prediction Market results often align more with the truth than polls and media.
This will be a huge market, although it is not yet large enough now, I believe we are at the beginning of it.
Q7: About RWA and AI
CZ believes that RWA and AI are both very new fields, each with tremendous potential.
The vision of RWA is "everything can be tokenized";
The potential of AI is that it will bring transaction frequencies millions of times higher than today. AI models will settle, collaborate, and even pay each other using cryptocurrencies.
However, in reality, RWAs currently face two major challenges:
1. Liquidity Issue:
Not all assets have high volatility or trading demand.
If the price hardly moves, the order book becomes thin, further reducing liquidity.
"No volatility, no trading volume."
2. Compliance Issue:
Different countries have different definitions of RWAs: some consider them securities, while others do not.
Do we need on-chain whitelisting, KYC, or maybe issuance permission?
These legal issues are complex and fragmented.
Q8: Will Centralization and Decentralization be in conflict?
CZ added: If the user growth in the crypto world stagnates, everyone will naturally migrate towards decentralization;
However, the reality is that over 90% of the global population has not yet used any crypto products. "For them, the centralized exchange experience of email login + customer support is simpler."
So, in the short term, CEX is still the primary entry point for Web2 users; in the long term, decentralization will gradually take over more trading scenarios.
He predicts that the next 4 years (the next cycle) may be a key turning point for this migration.
"We won't decentralize overnight, but the trend is irreversible."
Q9: YziLabs has committed to a $1 billion investment. What emerging technologies or directions are you looking for next?
CZ believes that it is currently more about "riding the trend."
Currently, the BNB Chain ecosystem is very strong in areas such as trading liquidity and token issuance; this has almost become the community's DNA.
However, in the AI direction, it is relatively weaker. In fact, not only BNB, but the entire crypto industry still lacks particularly strong AI+Crypto projects. CZ knows that saying this might offend some AI project teams (laughs),
Overall, we will invest in all promising directions, not limited to any specific track. This is CZ's intuitive judgment of the entire market.
Q10: U.S. Regulation and the Future
The host asks, "If there is a change in the U.S. government next year, will they target you again?"
CZ responds, "The current U.S. government is very pro-crypto, the previous one was anti-crypto, everyone knows that."
The new government's shift in stance is driving a global regulatory attitude shift.
“In three years, regardless of which party is in power, the crypto industry will be too big to reverse.
You can censor the internet, but you can't eradicate the internet.
Crypto is the same way.”
