KeepKey Overview

The back and side of KeepKey are designed with anodized aluminum, which is sturdy and durable and easy to carry and hold.

An important innovation of KeepKey is its native integration with the web trading platform ShapeShift. Although deeply integrated with ShapeShift, users can still use other wallet software.

Initial setup of this device is smooth and intuitive, making it easy to get started. During the review process, the device had some issues pairing with ShapeShift, and the connection continued to drop. After several reboots, the problem was successfully resolved.

While native integration with ShapeShift is a major advantage, KeepKey also has shortcomings. If you want to trade assets on Shapeshift, you should register an account and complete KYC verification. If you only want to send and receive cryptocurrencies, just register an account using your email address. If you don’t want to create a Shapeshift account at all, users can use the KeepKey client’s browser plug-in to use its basic functionality or choose other cryptocurrency wallet software.
